Adding Apple Keynote slides to TrilbyTV as a Slideshow

In this article, we explore using Apple Keynote slides as a TrilbyTV slideshow. Keynote is the presentation app included with every Mac and iPad and can be a great tool for creating content for digital signage.

First, check your file is formatted correctly

Open your Keynote file.

Open the Document Inspector and check your slides are in widescreen (16:9) format. These will look best on TV screens as they are the same size.

If your slide deck is not in a widescreen format, you will see some black bars on either side of the slides on your TV. We suggest making your original slides widescreen to take advantage of all the screen space.

Adding to TrilbyTV

In TrilbyTV, tap the + icon and choose Slideshow.

Drag in the Keynote file, and after a few moments, your file will be converted and the slides will appear. You can now change the order or remove any unwanted slides. You can have up to 36 images in a slideshow.

Once added, enter a title and choose the display duration for each slide. You can optionally set an auto-delete or auto-unapprove date/time for the slideshow as well.

Click Save, and your images will be uploaded, ready for approval to display on your TrilbyTV screens.

You can also add your Keynote as a video if you want to keep any transitions or builds. See related articles below.
