Adding Microsoft PowerPoint to TrilbyTV as a Slideshow

In this article, we look at adding aPowerpoint to TrilbyTV as a slideshow.

PowerPoint is often the go-to tool for quickly creating Notice or Message Board-style content for digital signage.

First Check your file is formatted correctly

Open your Powerpoint file

If you have the option to change the size set the slide to 1920 x 1080 (widescreen)

If your slide deck is not in widescreen format you will see some black bars either side of the slides on your TV. We strongly suggested making your original slides widescreen to take advantage of all the screen space.

A note on fonts

If you have used any non-standard fonts then we suggest you embed the fonts in the file, Microsoft have some instructions here.

Adding to TrilbyTV

In TrilbyTV tap the + icon and choose Slideshow.

Drag in the PPT file and after a few moments your file will be converted and the slides will appear. You can now change the order or remove any unwanted slides. You can have up to 24 images in a slideshow.

Once added, enter a title and choose the display duration for each slide, you can optionally set an auto-delete or auto-unapprove date/time for the slideshow as well.

Click Save and your images will be uploaded, ready for approval and display on your TrilbyTV screens.

You can also add your Powerpoint as a video if you want to keep any transitions or builds, or embed it via Office365. See related articles below.
